From the 4th - 15th September 2019 we will be exhibiting all the birds created during Flock Project for the first time at The Project Space, at Lewisham Art House, 140 Lewisham Way, New Cross, London SE14 6PD. The installation will consist of over 200 birds created over many months, following workshops held to support those who attend the Grounding Project in Kennington which helps people to overcome difficulties arising from their journey to the UK. Birds created by artist Julie Nelson, who conceived the project, and members of the general public who made birds at a special event held at the V & A Museum will be shown together.
The gallery is open from Wednesday to Sunday 12-6pm
On the 12th September we will have an evening of talks about the project with speakers including Dr Humera Iqbal, from UCL, Dr Gemma Eke, from the Maudesley and artist Julie Nelson. We will also have contributions from members of the Grounding Project.
