For the launch of refugee week, artist Julie Nelson held a series of workshops to gather together a large group of glorious birds for the installation held in September 2019, in partnership with Counterpoints Arts, Maudsley Charity and University College London. The supportive general public were taught by Julie and fellow artists Lucy Smith and Emily Stapleton Jefferis. We had now created a flock.
